The Shabbat Project Toronto is a unique, grassroots Jewish identity movement partnered with the International Worldwide Shabbat Project. First launched in South Africa in 2013, this global initiative spanned more than 1000 cities in 2016, bringing together Jews from all backgrounds and traditions to celebrate ONE Shabbat together.
In Toronto and the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), The Shabbat Project's 800+ volunteers got the weekend moving. Over 50 Shuls, Synagogues and Temples participated and thousands of individuals experienced Shabbat as never before.
